# 47 Davenport, Florida

Whew.....We made it.  We have never seen or been in such heavy traffic.

We are at Deer Creek RV Resort for the next 3 months.  The RV park is located in the town of Davenport, Florida which is located about 15 miles south of Orlando.  We arrived this morning around 10:00 a bit tired and traffic weary.  But, that's ok, we are happy to be here and can't wait to get out and explore the area.  We are situated in a nice, spacious lot that we have rented from our friend Jimmy Capps.  There seems to be so much to do.. lots of state parks, natural areas, museums and just enjoying the warmer weather.  We went out to get a late lunch after we arrived and we saw folks dressed in shorts and sandals..while we were still in jeans and sweat shirts!

We think we will enjoy our stay.  Little Boy can't wait to get out and nibble some green grass..one of his favorite "summer-time" snacks.

Post Script:  I just heard on the local news station that Universal Studios was at "near capacity attendance" today.  I think all those people drove in with us yesterday and Saturday!

  1. The traffic can be interesting when you drive a big rig. There is never a slow day around Orlando. Looks like a beautiful place to spend the winter!

  4. I think the trick is to come down *before* the holidays :) It might not help the Orlando area but it sure couldn't hurt on I-95 :)
